Reading Festival 2019 has officially sold out! This year the festival is on the bank holiday weekend 23rd-25th of August 2019. If you didn’t manage to buy tickets for the Reading festival don’t panic you can go to the Leeds festival. The Leeds Festival takes place at the same time. The artists perform at both festivals at different times and days.
Over the years the line up has changed. It is now known for its diverse lineup. Which makes it appealing for different types of people. You can listen to Rock, Dance, Metal, Electro or Indie. There is something to suit everyone.
Reading festival facts

- Reading Festival was actually named ‘The National Jazz Festival’ back in 1961. It changed its name to ‘The National Blues and Jazz Festival’ in 1962.

Taxi to Reading Festival
Reading does get busy during the Festival period. As you can imagine there are many revellers trying to get to the festival at the same time. We advise you to pre-book your taxi to take the stress out of having to wait around or work out the best way to get to the festival on the day call us on 01189 666 555 to pre-book your taxi to Reading Festival 2019.
We can drop you off on Tessa Road near Red Gate. This is a temporary taxi rank opposite Rivermead Leisure Centre which is next to the festival site.
There will also be a second taxi rank at Thames Promenade which is by The Crown Plaza. This is only available for those leaving the festival on Monday.
Reading Station Pick up

As you can imagine the town does get extremely busy over the weekend. It is better for your overall experience to organise your transport in advance.
